Lili's Dimsum Buffet to Celebrate Daddy's Day!

Our small family surely loves Chinese food especially Dimsum! On special occasions, Shang Palace at the Makati Shangri-la is always our restaurant of choice. But today, we decided to detour a little to the city of Manila and taste the mighty Dimsum Buffet of Lili  at the New World Manila Bay Hotel formerly Grand Hyatt Hotel and Casino because it's Father's Day and our dad deserves something new for his taste buds :p

The entrance to the Restaurant was so inviting and I was seemingly tranced to the old upscale China

Unlike in Shang Palace where they only have the order-all-you-can Dimsum, here at Lili's they offer a mini spread of Chinese Roastings, soup and congee while you wait for your ordered dimsum.

Suckling Pig was the superstar for my two hungry boys

This Bamboo Pith and Mushroom soup was sooo superb..

One by one... the dimsum came in full swing..I almost lost count of what I've ordered. By the way, you order the dimsum on a by piece manner not on a per bamboo steam basket except for the Chicken feet. This is better for us though since we have the tendency to over order not thinking (mainly because of the happy monsters in our tummy) that usually there are three of four dimsum in one basket.

My personal favorite has to be this Scallop dumpling.. melts in your mouth scallops with all the happy flavor of a dimsum..aaahh happiness!

This Xiao long Bao sadly is a no winner for hubby.. too thick wrapper..

ahhh.. this is my son's favorite and the name totally escaped my mind.. my bad! Glutinous rice wrapper with mushroom and Shrimp..something like that :p

Taro puff with seafoods  is  like a happy bomb for me ..bursting with flavor yumminess!

You can also order mains at Lili and still included in the buffet price...

Hot Prawn Salad... acceptable but not as yummy as heart throbbing as Shang's

It was one happy FATHER'S DAY for dad , for mom and for son hahaha! Our foodie rating for Lili is 4.5 out of  5! Bravoooo for the merrrryyyy tummies :)

Worth commending at Lili's --- they have well-trained, attentive and very gracious staff  :)
